Season of change

We all have something that we like to do to help decompress, relax and unwind. The last several years have been probably the most challenging for most of us. The COVID-19 lockdown of 2020 forced many us to find things to do since we were stuck at home. Since I am a nurse, I was essential. Duh, I have always been essential and it had nothing to do with my career choice.

I started searching for something to do on the weekends and evenings since we were stuck at home. Let's face it, work, eat, sleep, and repeat gets really boring after a while. I stumbled on several YouTube channels that featured people making these really cool things with their Cricut machine. I thought why not, it could be fun and give me something to do, so I bought my Cricut Maker and vinyl and about a hundred different things.

During this time, there were more changes in healthcare that affected my professional business among other things again made me question why am I still doing this after 30 years. My first grandchild (Bailey-Elizabeth) had been born in January 2021 and it was love at first sight. I thought to myself, what do I have or what am I doing that I can pass on to her one day. Nada, zip. I had made several things since buying my Cricut, and they weren't bad quality to look at. I enjoyed making these items and it was a great way for me to relax and unwind.

In April, 2021 I decided that I wanted to start my own business and get out of the healthcare industry one day. Bailey Bug was what I call my granddaughter, it was catchy, she was my heart, and the name stuck. I filed all of the necessary paperwork, registered the name, and on April 10, 2021, Bailey Bug Custom Designs, LLC was born. So, here we are on this new adventure, let's see where it takes us....
